Accommodation in and around Nether westcote

Our 'family accommodation' is all within walking distance of Overdale Equestrian Centre. The cost is £17.50/night, for an (almost certainly) shared room. The minimum booking is for 2 nights. Breakfast (toast and tea/coffee) is provided at Overdale. This means that, if you are coming from abroad, it is viable to attend a course without hiring a car. (You will just need to get a taxi from Kingham train station - see below.) There are always enough cars in the group to give lifts to various pubs if you want to eat outside the village.

You can stay on site in a lorry, and at some point during the 2010 season we will be able to offer you use of our new shower room!

Please indicate on your booking form if you would like the 'family' option. We arrange the acomodation for you, and let you know where you are staying when you arrive. If you want a private room, you need to book your own accommodation. We recommend the options below:

CATERING

Currently, we provide a lunch of sandwiches plus an apple, and this is included in the price of four day courses. It is not included in the price of weekend courses, where it is more viable to go to the pub in the village. Once this has re-opened we will revue the best option for weekends, but we can always get sandwiches as long as 6 or more people want them.

The number of people wanting sandwiches on simulator courses is unlikely to be high enough. You might be best to bring your own lunch, or to go to the pub in the village.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

OUR NEAREST TRAIN STATION IS KINGHAM, WHICH IS 4 MILES AWAY.

Kingham station is on the Hereford and Worcester line, which comes from London Paddington station, via Reading. From Heathrow Airport, you can get the Railair Link to Reading, and the train from there. The Railair Link is a coach that goes from the Central Bus Station at Heathrow. Here you can buy a combined ticket for both the bus and train - go to the line on the left, which is especially for these tickets.

DO NOT FLY INTO GATWICK, if you can posibly avoid it, the journey to us is a nightmare!

It is also viable to fly into Birmingham, take a train to Oxford, and change there onto the Hereford and Worcester Line and Kingham station.
